Winkler Collar Club
Grooming
*All Bath & Tidy/Grooming tidy appointments must first have a release form filled out as well as a copy of up to date vaccines to ensure the safety of all dogs coming into our facility! Vaccines required for Bath & Tidy/Grooming Clients are the same as our Daycare/Boarding Clients (Bordetella, Distemper/Parvo & Rabies) *
We offer One on One Full Grooms as well as Bath & Tidys. There is a slight difference between the two aside from just pricing.

What does One on One mean? While your dog is having a service provided they will be the only one in the room from start to finish.
Bath & Tidy
What is involved with a Bath & Tidy? Your dog will have the following done:
-
Bath with the appropriate shampoo and condition. (Whitening for white coats, Deshedding for double-coated & short coats, etc)
-
Blow Dry to thoroughly dry the coat and help remove any loose hair, help remove the undercoat for desheds
-
Nail Trim

The length of time it take to do a Bath & Tidy varies on size of dog, hair type, and how they are during the whole process.

Butt Face & Trim
A Butt, Face & Feet Trim (BFF) is exactly what is says! A quick trim of the fur around the Butt, Face & Feet as well as a nail trim!

This service is approximately 45 minutes but may vary depending on how your dog is during the service!
Full Grooms
Whether you have a Curly Coated, Double-Coated, or Short Coated dog a Full Groom will make a huge difference. What does a full groom include?
-
Bath with the appropriate shampoo and condition. (Whitening for white coats, Deshedding for double-coated & short coats, etc)
-
Blow Dry to thoroughly dry the coat and help remove any loose hair, help remove the undercoat for desheds
-
Nail Trim
-
Full Cut for Poodles, Malteses, Bichons, Doodles, etc.

Deshed for double-coated and short-haired dogs like Great Pyrenees, German Shepherds, Jack Russel Terriers, Bulldogs, etc. We will NOT shave double-coated dogs unless they are matted. Not only is this damaging to their coats but they will not be able to regulate their own body temperature properly.

We recommend getting your dog groomed every 6-8 weeks to help maintain a healthy coat. Pre-booking is highly recommended to ensure we have spots available. The length of time it takes to Groom your dog varies from size, what you would like done and how they are during the entire process.

We do have a grooming pre book discount for those who pre book there dog in for a full groom every 4-8 weeks. Your closest groom to June & December will be 50% off! Be sure to ask one of our staff members for more information at your next grooming appointment!

OUR DE-MATTING POLICY

DE-MATTING (BRUSHING OUT) OF SEVERELY MATTED DOGS IS NOT OFFERED AS ONE OF OUR SERVICES. DOGS WITH MATTED AND SEVERELY NEGLECTED COATS WILL REQUIRE AN EXTRA CHARGE AND WILL BE GIVEN A VERY SHORT CLIP.
De-matting of younger dogs tends to make them dislike grooming to the point that they can become VERY difficult to work with and may even become a biter, requiring them to always be muzzled to be groomed, or will need to be sedated by a vet for future grooms.
De-matting of older dogs can be so mentally and physically stressful for them that it places their health and well-being in jeopardy.
De-matting is very painful to your dog and is especially difficult for dogs that have pink or sensitive skin.
De-matting of large areas, especially when the matts are close to the skin, can result in a brush burn, which can be as serious as a third-degree burn on a human and may require medical treatment.
We only do Humane grooming here so please do not expect us to brush out a severely matted or tangled coat. If you have a longhaired dog and wish to maintain the long length, there is no alternative but to keep it brushed and combed out between professional grooming. If this is not viable, then we recommend booking regular maintenance grooming (brushing, combing, etc.). If you require assistance in choosing the proper tools or in the proper use of these tools, we will be happy to assist you.
